Caress

_I: Both laughter and gaze are attributes of emotional communication that are transmitted from a distance, by telepathy, and that link beings from a distance, strengthening ties. Both are related to the senses of taste, hearing and vision, even smell, so what about touch?

_AM: Sensory stimuli are those that generate emotions in the internal areas of the brain, whether the amygdala or the hippocampus, due to the synaptic interpretation of the electrical stimuli received by the nerves upon interaction with the environment that surrounds them. There, all sensations are recorded through the temporal and spatial processing lobes through movement sensors, which store memories, that is, the records of each pulse. The look and smile are produced by the stimuli of sound, taste, aromas and colors that the brain relates to previously registered familiar things. Thus, the gaze pays attention and the smile is shown as a reaction to that pleasant memory. But all these stimuli develop later in the evolution of the body of a gamete towards its path to becoming a fetus. The first to register pulses of sensations is Touch.

_I: So it is the first of the senses that is activated. Because?

_AM: Because in the development of a body, the eyes will not be functional until they see the light; The ear will not be fully functional until it comes out of the amniotic fluid and the auditory fluid has to be balanced; The taste will not be intentional until it tastes the first food from the mother's breast; and the sense of smell will not be activated until it can smell the particles circulating in the air. Thus, even though the 4 senses already exist months before birth, they will not be fully activated until the moment of birth.

_I: On the other hand, touch is there, active, perceiving everything in every movement...

_AM: The hands and feet, the face of a baby, have nerve endings that allow it to clearly receive signals from the space in which it moves to have an idea of where it is. The amniotic fluid, the placenta, the umbilical cord, the mother's organs, the vibration of the mother's heartbeat resonating like the pulses you feel when submerged in water. Since it is nothing more than a tiny fetus of only one or two centimeters, attached to the walls of the uterus, the human begins to feel pulses of pleasure and pain, to receive stimuli from the environment. The cells begin to record data, information, which they will convert into memories to understand the environment. It feels the pulse of the mother's heart like the waves of an ocean, and each pulsing cell, distributing blood through the makeshift heart, aligns to the sound of its parent.

_I: So a fetus has feelings from the first cells... It therefore has memory due to its data records.

_AM: From the moment a cell forms a set of nerve cells that record data, the human mind begins to form. This occurs around the fifth week of gestation, when the first synapse occurs in the spinal cord.

_I: So even though a pregnant being has a soul from the moment of conception (when the cells of the egg and sperm unite), the group of living cells is not considered “human” until there is a first sign neuronal. In other words, after a month and a week of gestation we can say that a human appears...

_AM: A human is human from the fifth or sixth week of pregnancy. And from then until the moment of birth, the sense that records the most data is touch. The skin is the largest organ in the body, forming the integumentary system, that is, the tissues of the physical body that surround all the organs, muscles and bones of the body. It is the system with the greatest interaction with the environment, the first to sense external changes and transmit it to the central nervous system. Due to this, the information received by the skin is the richest in data for the development of the being. For 9 months, a human feels the warmth of the mother, in all directions, he feels the skin, the touch, the protection, containment and security through warmth, through caresses.

_I: The caress... Beyond any type of contact, of touch that can be had from the outside with the skin, perhaps the caress is the most subtle of all, the one that makes itself felt the most...

_AM: The softness that is generated in the 9 months of gestation makes contact with the world occur in a subtle, light, almost intangible way, and all external pulses arrive only as echoes in the thick liquid of the amniotic sac. And these waves are perceived by the skin as a soft tickling, translated into electrical signals conducted to the integumentary skin by the roots of small sensitive hairs along the body, motion sensors. The signals received produce a discharge to the entire nervous system, producing states of alert or excitement, but above all, pleasure. Like a cradling hand, the liquid is a caress that connects the internal world with the external world.

_I: What is a caress exactly?

_AM: Caress comes from the Latin “Carus”, which means “dear, loved”, coming from the Indo-European “Kar”, meaning “desire”, origin of the word “want” in Spanish, as well as lacking, expensive, charity. This word comes from “kah”, in reality it arises from the concept “intention”, that is, paying attention to something, seeking to achieve, obtain something. This sound arises from the ancient idea of “soul”, or spirit in movement, a concept that is related to energy itself. The caress, then, speaks of the attribute of wanting, of protecting, of setting the intention, or of desiring something. On a biological level, caressing is the nervous sensation of the integument that helps to recognize the environment, feeling contained as in a womb, relaxing the body, leading to rest as if it were a rocking chair. When an external agent produces this sensation, the mind relaxes, lowering its defenses, and leading the body to a state of dormancy, since the cellular memory remembers this sensation as the living memory of the 9 months of gestation. The central nervous system reacts, sending signals to the glands and releasing hormones that activate the body's cells to react, generating or releasing energy, which you call emotion. So caresses are related to the communication that the spiritual and soul have with matter. The caress is the intention of the spirit, it is the desire of the soul.

_I: When someone caresses us, we feel like we are returning to point 0, to balance, to the divine dream...

_AM: It reminds you of creation, the wonder of what it is to feel. The spirit rejoices because it remembers why it has chosen to be born.

_I: Why are there people who don't like touch, being touched or caressed?

_AM: Simply because, either he has had a trauma with his mother or with love and sexuality. Everything that represents the first contact or close, trusting touches, painful or inappropriate caresses, causes the brain to interpret this spiritual attribute of the world as a form of violation or aggression.

_I: So we have to review the relationship we have with our mother or the ties we have had, or the attacks we have received and we have not managed to heal yet... And then we can see how to heal the caress.

_AM: And this is fundamental, because the caress is the way in which the spirit feels the world, in which the divine consciousness perceives the wonder, the miracle, the hallucinating alchemy that it has manifested.

_I: The caress is the love manifested…

_AM: Close your eyes, breathe deeply... Lie down gently in the darkness of a kind space... With sweet movements, return to your fetal position, returning to the womb, inside the mother. And from there, she caresses you again, but this time consciously, do it knowing that you do it for the glory of your spirit. Caress every corner of your skin, feel every centimeter of it. Breathe, and meditate on each sensation, on the memories that awaken in your caresses. Remember that it is you caressing your body, and in every memory you caress your soul, and in every conscious sigh, you caress your spirit. Remember that it is your own spiritual mind caressing your being. As a heavenly father, the spirit caresses your face, while the divine mother in your soul caresses your back. Feel the touch of the divine in every breath. Light your heart in the memory of the skin. Dare to feel yourself, and so the next time you take someone's hand, intertwine your fingers with the fingers of others, when your lips rest on their cheeks, or gently feel your lips on theirs, or melt into a family, brotherly or loving hug, you will be able to feel the greatness of the cosmic heart in every cell of your being.

_I: The desire for the real intention of the spirit… To live.

_AM: You are the Cosmic Caress. Dare to feel yourself.
